back on it
so i setup my mics and stuff today and did a lil recording. it wasnt very fruitful per se, but i do think i’m getting closer to the form of this song im workin on, so that make grant happy time!!
i did try out my new mic i got for christmas, an mxl 990 condensor. its sweet, it sounds straight and i think it has a noticable character change from the audio technica. being able to put two good condensors on acoustic guitar gives a superphat sound, although i did like the sound from a 57 w/ the denoiser on it. it also sounds cool to have 2 condensors on vocs too, so its all gravy!
i’m gonna probably record the drums for ‘viewpoint’ or ‘corsica’ at work tomorrow, so i’m lookin forward to it.
