i’m pretty sure about 95% of the time i hate thom yorke’s voice. c’mon. you know its annoying.
really blatant, ‘everyday man’ type lyrics pretty much blow i think. not all the time i guess, but even still, why write about really obvious boring stuff? i am just really into weird slang, confused/double meanings and shit that doesnt mean anything or make sense.
i’m realizing more everyday that there’s no real logic to anything or any decision making in the music biz. nothing makes sense.
that jenny lewis album is still pissin me off. especially since every review i’ve seen of it is glowing. WHY. its SO BORING.
being a freelance musician is INSANE. i think the only way you can actually do it is if you come from a wealthy/fortunate background. gotta be. maybe not, but i think most of the time that has got to play a factor. (b.gruska/natewood,etc). making a name for yourself is very respectable though.
i think i could be down with just having a normal job (not teaching/trying to be a ‘real’ musican’) and do music in my free time. it’s still an assload of time and is really my big hobby and what i always do w/ any time i have anyways, so i think being able to have everything paid for and chilled out in my life will allow me to do music still and care about it, and hopefully that will blossom into some legitimate shit. i could even do like little weekend tours or play shows whenever still. it can be done!!!
